The Melbourne Staff Songsters is a gospel choir based at The Salvation Army’s headquarters in Blackburn which draws members from Victoria’s regional and metropolitan areas. This group has just celebrated the anniversary of its inauguration in 1987 after being commissioned by Commissioner Eva Burrows.
The Melbourne Staff Songsters is a gospel choir based at The Salvation Army’s headquarters in Blackburn which draws members from Victoria’s regional and metropolitan areas. This group has just celebrated the anniversary of its inauguration in 1987 after being commissioned by Commissioner Eva Burrows.
During this time the choir has supported the work of The Salvation Army in every Australian State and Territory, as well as overseas. The MSS uses music as a way to communicate God’s love to people, whatever their circumstances, in support of The Salvation Army’s mission.
